Great gameplay, visuals, voice overs. Awful story
If you want to review explaining all of the great parts of this game, Im sure theres a lot of other reviews that would be better than this one. This review only talks about the story. I still think the game is good, just not the story which is overhyped and ill explain why;
In a nut shell this games story reminds me of a contrived theater piece, that relies heavily on filler dialogue (dialogue that doesnt push the story), but in the end fails to explain whats actually going on in the story. Sure theres this evil group trying to chase the main character because they made a mistake with these an enemy called the process. This part is standard, but with so much dialogue, I expected this game to reveal more. The fact that this game looks beautiful and that the world is so well-designed and flushed out does not excuse this game from explaining the story.
The End boss fight was literally the most disappointing fight Ive ever played. There was no strategy, both sides try to freeze time as they can so they can unload attacks on the other player. The last boss dialogue was equally disappointing.
The best character BY FAR was the sword whos filler dialogue was more entertaining than any of the other characters. The last boss for instance had SO MUCH dialogue but never said anything important, just meaningless filler talk like yes, i have it. Im most certain. This could be the way. Im sure of it. Really well voice acted but doesnt say anything.
So check this game out but please for the gameplay only
